We offer landscaping and gardening services distilled with permaculture design principles. We cater to all projects big and small including specialised maintenance.
Owner Jimmy Woodriff takes the role of consulting designer and is often on site guiding his network of skilled and trusted trades and labourers who have worked with him for years. This means they are aware of the sensitivities of a Permacultural perspective on conventional landscaping and trade practice and understand Jimmy's designs and the aesthetics and quality standards he maintains.
Jimmy's background isn't in landscaping, he's a designer and creative who has found landscaping is the best way for his practical and hands on creative mind to express itself. After excelling in nothing but visual arts in high school he was pre-selected for Design at UTS and WSU and studied sculpture at National Art School in Darlinghurst. He has since gained a Bachelor of Design, Diploma of Permaculture, A Certificate III in Landscape Construction and many grey hairs. His dedication to world travel has bolstered his perspective on gardens, spaces, homes, lifestyles and methods of building which have driven his eye and influenced his style across every continent on earth except for Antarctica... which is on the list... If he gets enough work... not cheap!
Our services include:
Landscape design & master planning
Gardening, onsite advice & maintenance
Permaculture consultation, design & education
Permaculture & gardening workshops

Our vision
Pacific Permaculture's vision is to create amazing landscaping projects that are aligned with Permaculture design principles thus encouraging the intelligent and sustainable design system to become the baseline, one garden at a time.
This allows us to bring the many positive social and environmental aspects of the permaculture to properties, homes, suburbs and regions where it will help people live healthier, happier lives.

3 ways we work with nature
BiodynamicsBiodynamics refers to lunar and solar cycles and their influence on nutrient cycles in living systems. The simplest example is the tides in the ocean. As water rises and falls with the pull of the moon nutrients cycle up and down. Working with these forces allows us to prepare soil, plants and systems to thrive.
|
Plant guildsPlant guilds or companion plantings mimic natural forest systems. By establishing naturalistic communities of plants in landscaped areas, we can quickly replicate systems that feed, protect and encourage themselves to survive and thrive.
|
D'Harawal seasonsWe work with the six D'Harawal seasons. The oldest living weather observations and climate data comes from the first people of Australia. We understand the simplicity and global appeal of the four European seasons but work by observing bio-indicators in our local environment that are more accurate.
